Quran & Pakistan: Do we need to launch a Political Party in Pakistan?

SUNDAY MORNING DARS E QURAN @ 8AM Islamabad Time:  March 20, 2011 CLICK HERE TO JOIN

Dr. Asarulislam Lectures on The Quran every Sunday. Today’s lecture has a unique importance:

“I have been approached by several ‘Quranists.’  They believe in equality and justice and want to take active steps towards establishing the Law of God in Pakistan. They recommend  launching a Political Party, JANNAT PAKISTAN. They aspire to set up a political platform through mutual brotherhood and cooperation. They want  to set up a process of active world-wide enrollment via internet and plan to establish offices all over Pakistan. They are already developing and drafting a Quranic Manifesto. They say: “The Quran has the answer to Pakistan’s Problem.”

Today’s lecture will address the viability of this idea. If you cannot Join, please send your opinion regarding this movement. We shall plan our future activism accordingly.

    ASARULISLAM’S COMMENT: Allama Shabbir Sahib: Only you could have put, what is in everybody’s hearts, in such beautiful words. Islam is blessed and Pakistan is blessed. O’ man of Vision Shabbir Ahmed: Continue to guide us in the sea. We are ready to launch our ship but our crew fears our ship is small and weak.

    @Shabbir Ahmed, M.D. – Iqbal said:
    “TAQDEER KE QAAZI KA YEH FATWAH HE AZAL SE,
    HAY JURM-E-ZAEEFI KI SAZA MARG-E-MAFAJAAT”.

    Sir, where would this “Zaeefi” and its resultant “cowardice” eventually lead us to? “Mahkoomi” has already set in deeply. Poverty, apathy, lack of peace and tolerance have already rendered us bereft of the remnants of humanity. Yes, it’s time we took our last lesson.

    To launch a full-fledged fight for POWER should be the ultimate goal. Al-Hamdu Lillah that we have at long last found a LEADER in the person of Dr. Asarulislam.

    The history of us Quranists highlights many prominent personalities as Teachers/Preachers……..A true Leader of Men and a General we never were blessed with. Allama Mashriqi did show us a specimen of that great human attribute and status. But, Perhaps his was not the most opportune time, as we suffered British domination on the one hand, and were deeply involved in the ongoing great Movements of Liberation and for establishment of Pakistan, on the other.

    This is the time dear Quranists. Let us join hands and work wholeheartedly for the supremacy of our Divine cause. Allah is with us only if we strive hard.

    @Tahir Quadri

    Salaam Dear Tahrir Quadri.

    Here is what you said…

    “Its been more than a decade, I am telling people, ‘Only those people are going to be in Jannat who are going to try VERY HARD (jihad) to make this world a Jannat’.”

    This is a very, very interesting statement. May I ask for you to elaborate a little on this so I can understand what you meant in this quote?

    Jazakallah Khair,
    Damon.

  5. Shariq says:

    Launching a political party in Pakistan is a futile effort. After all what has been attributed to the political leadership; like corruption, loot, plunder and amassing unlawful wealth; do you think you people can make a place for yourself. For political party to compete in Pakistan it needs to have staunchest of the scoundrels and biggest Budmashs in the world. Nevertheless, there is no chance for another religio-political party to come into effect in this country.

    Mr. Aurangzeb Yousaf Zai is an ex active member of http://www.aastana.com.
    He knows Arabic well. All Quranic people must be one. But that is not the case.
    Tullo Islam, Doctor Shabbir of our http://www.ourbeacon.com all are divided over
    Quranic interpretations.

    First step should have been to bring them all under one banner and get them united.
    Only than you can face existing innumerable Ameer-momneen.

    What is your solution?

    Salaam;

    “Politics”, is a process by which groups of people make collective decisions. The term is generally applied to the art or science of running governmental or state affairs. It also refers to behavior within civil governments. However, politics have been observed in other group interactions, including corporate, academic, and religious institutions. It consists of “social relations involving authority or power” and refers to the regulation of public affairs within a political unit, and to the methods and tactics used to formulate and apply policy.

    Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics

    One can compare this definition with what Quran says;

    وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُو۟ا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُو۟ا ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُورَىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ (42:38
    A concept of mutual consultation for handling affairs

    قُلْ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْغِى رَبًّا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيْهَا وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ (6:164
    أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ (53:38
    وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ (53:39

    A concept which says no individual has authority on others and no one is responsible for the deeds of other.

    Considering the above quoted verses, I think the term “politics” does not matches the Quranic ideology or constitution. Please correct me if I am wrong!

    Peace for all the people. but, how can it be ? This the question unsolved till date…… Do you believe so ? Let me re-reveal it right now that this question has been answered 1435 years ago through The Messenger of God, saved in The book named Al-Quran. All we have to do is to read and understand it and then shape it as a system (al-salaat). Beleive it or not, there is no other way to achieve the goal of peace and equality, wittnessed by a great man of Greece as He proclamed :- We will keep on trying different ways to achieve our goal and will end up with the Path of God.

    Let us be the pioneers of the path of Peace for the men of God on His Earth.
    God bless us with the help of His and ours Malaika. Amen.
