To be fair, there are two sides of a story. Here is another side. After we listen to both sides, we may be in a better position to draw conclusions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6LDBxZxUms&feature=BFp&list=WL09528EBBAB164CAD&index=3
Asarulislam’s Comment:
It is sad sad sad. Maudoodi Sahab was a good man. I first met him in 1963 when he used to deliver Dars at a Masjid next to our house on Abdul Kareem Road, Qilla Gujar Singh. Then from 1969 August till 1970 there was almost not one single Asr or Maghrib prayer that I did not pray at 5-A Zaildar Park. By 1970, I had read everything that he had written. I used to worship him like any Jammaat follower. But I also had been well tutored by my grandfather Syed Mohammed Ishaq. And when I confronted him objectively, I felt so sad to see him speak blatant lies. Then it became a daily event. I used to expose his contradictions to those who sat right besides him. It is a long and painful story. Some day I shall talk of this. They say.: DARAKHT APNE PHAL SAY PEHCHANA JAATA HAI.
I pity him. Allah is unforgiving. He called names to the Quaideazam.

Brother Mubashir is right, in principle. We must consider both sides of the story before we decide one way or the other.
But we do have the negative history of Jamaat-e-Islami before us, spread over a span of last 63 years. That stands as a proof of “the other side of the story.”
Like Dr. Asarulislam, I too have been a devout supporter of Jamiaat/Jamaat for half of my earlier life. With the advent of the age of reason, it was no longer possible to stand their fascist principles and organized hooliganism.
They never take a stand against Govt.’s exploitation of masses. They are on the pay rolls of U.S. agencies as well as Pakistani agencies. They are enjoying permanent seats in the Senate. They are in National Assembly and have been federal ministers. They have been active murderers, particularly under Liaqat Baloch as Boss of the criminal Jamiat.
Mr. Haider Farooq Maudoodi has a long history of exposing their negative tactics. What he says in this interview corresponds with reality.
ye bilkul sach keh rhy hain…..:)))))))
