When we talk of political parties in Parties we need to address the history of the same here. Our first political party AIML was used by the English to pass their ending period of their rule here in India. Than with the acceptence of a non Pakistani as the commander in cheif of the Pakistan army, the only political party after the demise of QA MA Jinnah became a tool to get manipulated by the army. The Pakistani who took over from their english counter part believed in the same tactics and hence the process continued. Its the Pakistan army in Pakistan which in real sense controls the political parties in Pakistan and its intelligence agencies are the nursery where political leaders starting from Bhutoo, Altaf hussain are nurtured and presented for future leadership. Today what army did with this country has resulted into a monstrous character of political incopmpetence and hence army stand in a closed alley herself, because armies in the end of war are always bailed out by sound and sincere political force, which unfortunately because of own doings of the army does not exist today in Pakistan. I have yet to listen completely to your lecture and h ope to hear about this aspect of this issue as well from you. However if you have not commented from this stand point I would like to hear your comments about the role of army in nurturing politics in Pakistan. Only after hearing that I can decide if you are really you or yet another plan of our great army to make people this country owlish to the extremes. Regards

I am addressing your concerns.and of several others as well: Pakistan Army has been the ugliest players of our political arena. Pakistan Army has always enjoyed dominance, are ‘real players’, or enjoy acting as referees with the whistle. As we all know, it is because, they are the only organized force or institution of the country.
Organization (AL-SALAT) is the key.
However we cannot blame our Army for all our misdoings. I agree they have exploited the conditions created by so-called political opportunists. We have never had nor nurtured any Leader or Political Organization/system. What we need is to build a team comprising of simple ‘apolitical’ average soldiers of Pak Army and of civilians into an organization. It may well be JPP under the leadership of Dr. Asarul Islam. Nonetheles , it will take time: “As Sabr Wa-Salat” is the Divine Law. [Ed]
